About the job Installer
A talented and dynamic candidate is sought by our client in the Telecommunications sector to join their Technical team in Maun as an Installer. The successful individual will report to the Branch Manager-Maun and will be responsible for on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Drilling and mounting of brackets and equipment
- Radio Installation
- Cabling
- Tower Support and Installation
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
- BGCSE or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is an added advantage.
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi)
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and installation plans
- Knowledge of fibre splicing, testing tools
- Basic understanding of network security and safe installation practices
Additional Requirements:
- Valid drivers licence (advantageous) and willingness to travel to client sites
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently.
