Information Security Operations and Controls Officer

The incumbent will for investigating and performing Internal and external information security risks assessment. Access incidents. vulnerability assessments, patch managements, penetration tests. Responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, daily monitoring of cyber security incidents, and working with the IT department to resolve them, ensuring security of network and data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures proactive responses to security events and incidents from sources such as SIEM, WAR IPS. Antivirus
  •  Conducts Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing across the enterprise network
  • Configures and operates security tools such as IPS. SIEM. Antivirus Software. SCCM
  • Prepares basic reports to feed into other management reports
  • Monitor Banks Network for all Security Incidents and escalates Issues in a timely manner.
  • Liaises with both Internal and external stakeholders in dealing with security issues.
  • Good understanding of Security frameworks, controls, and standards (NIST)
  • Incident Response Knowledge
  • Results oriented and Customer Focused
  • Analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of cyber security best practices.
  • IT Security Management Knowledge on Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment

Key requirements for this role

The candidate should have attained the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Computer Engineering, or related discipline . Minimum of 3 years experience . Added advantage Professional Certifications in Security (Security++.)
  • Ability to work under pressure in stressful market conditions is vital.
  • Proven track record in a similar information Security rol
