Job Summary

BUAN graduates are invited to submit applications for consideration to be part of the INCU-HIVE. INCUHIVE is a three-year incubation programme that is intended to produce graduates who have both the technical and business skills to run commercial agriculture or natural resources enterprises. It is a programme of the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources and is coordinated in partnership with the Local Enterprise Authority (LEA). Selected individuals will be provided with facilities, equipment, materials and tools, utilities, accommodation, transport, and mentoring to train them into businessmen and women. Available enterprises are broiler production, layers production, piggery, herbs production, and citrus production and processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a three-year incubation programme to develop technical and business skills for running commercial agriculture or natural resources enterprises.
  • Utilize provided facilities, equipment, materials, tools, utilities, accommodation, transport, and mentoring to become a successful businessperson.
  • Focus on one of the available enterprises: broiler production, layers production, piggery, herbs production, or citrus production and processing.

Requirements

  • Citizen of Botswana
  • Successful completion of studies at BUAN
  • A letter of intent highlighting: a. Qualification (with certified copies of certificates) b. Entrepreneurial traits / skills c. Enterprise of interest
