This position is responsible to provide quality & efficient HR Services to Motheo Copper Mine.
This position is responsible to provide quality & efficient HR Services to Motheo Copper Mine by ensuring that business requirements are met that is implementing all HR processes among others Employee Relations, HR Resourcing, Expatriate Permit Administration, Performance & Talent Management, Workforce Planning, Remuneration and Benefits, Job Evaluation, Localization & Succession Planning.
Key Performance Areas
- Provide an effective and efficient recruitment & selection process.
- Coordinates manpower planning, giving advice to the line managers in terms of their manning levels.
- Drives the process of job descriptions writing and review job descriptions for all the positions.
- Facilitate & coordinate expatriates’ work & residence permits administration.
- Facilitates and coordinates the development of meaningful succession & localization plans with Line Managers.
- Attends to all administrative functions of the position, taking cognisance of the need to create a clear audit trail and maintaining HR data integrity.
- Participates in compiling the departmental budget and costing metrics.
- Coordinates the company’s performance management and talent management system.
- Contribute to the development of the Human Resource function by developing a progressive, business focused employee relations framework that meets the current and future needs of the operation.
- To develop and foster a sound employee relations/communication through monitoring and analysing the workplace, company policies, procedures, and practices, and advising management accordingly.
- Advises and guides the management in all facets of employee relations, ensuring fairness and consistent application of all applicable labour laws.
- Monitors the consistent application of procedural and substantive fairness in grievance and disciplinary issues.
- Interprets Motheo policies and procedures to line management and employees to ensure sound Industrial Relations and equitable application of company policies and procedure.
- Identifies capacity building needs for all relevant stakeholders and develops appropriate interventions to address the deficiency.
- Manages subordinates’ key effectiveness areas by setting, monitoring and reviewing performance and taking remedial action as necessary.
- Contribute to the review of HR Policies and Procedures.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of objectives.
- Manages & coordinates the implementation of safety, health and environmental programme in area of responsibility.

Qualification & Experience
- Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Valid Light Duty Vehicles Driver’s License.
- 10 years post graduate experience in Human Resource Management, of which 5 should have been at middle management level in a dynamic human resources environment preferably in mining or resource Industry.
- Well knowledgeable on Employee Relations and Labour Law principles.
