Hospitality Manager – Limpopo-Lipadi

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, Your primary responsibilities are outlined herein. This list is not intended to be exhaustive, and you may be required to perform duties not specifically listed herein, but which are necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of River Camp and the Private Sites, including, but not limited to, the equipment/assets, staff matters, ecology, electricity and water supplies and guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

 Responsible for the overall management and smooth and efficient operation of the lodge;
 Management over reservations function, all guides, chefs, housekeepers, gardeners, maintenance staff working in River camp and the Private Sites.
 Oversight and control of the booking schedule and the impact of the staff off days on the bookings. Ensuring that the staff schedule aligns to the booking schedule;
 Confirming all bookings a few days before arrival, and confirming their arrival times on the day of arrival;
 Maintenance of River Camp buildings, vehicles, equipment, furniture and fittings etc ensuring that they are well cared for and that they are controlled and accounted for on a regular basis;
 Procurement and control of River Camp maintenance equipment and stocks;
 Maintain occupancy and other related statistics.

Qualifications and requirements:

 Degree in Hospitality Management/Tourism or related
 Full driving licence
 Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. A good knowledge of GIS is also a requirement.
 Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
 The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
 Be able to read, write and speak Setswana and English.
 5+ years experience
