UV Botswana HOD Research and Design

HOD RESEARCH AND DESIGN

A Francistown based Engineering Company requires the services of a skilled and dynamic individual to head up the Research and Design Team. The applicant should have the following qualification and experience.

• A degree or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an approved University.
• At least 15 or more years experience preferably in the design of trackless Mining Vehicles.
• Must have a thorough understanding and use of ALL of the following computer software.

AUTO DESK PRODUCTS

• Inventor Professional
• Inventor Finite Element Analysis
• AutoCAD Mechanical
• Frame maker
• Product Design Suite
• Microsoft office including PowerPoint presentations.
• Experience in the design of vehicle Electrical systems
• Experience in the design of advanced Hydraulic systems.
• Must be well versed in programming PLC and CANBUS systems.
• Experience in drawing office management and quality systems
• Must be well versed in the compilation of technical documents such as Operational Manuals, Risk Assessments, and Spare Parts Manuals.
• Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel outside Botswana.
• Must have a valid Class B driver’s licence.
