HEAD OF IT & CORPORATE SERVICES

Sefalana Cash & Carry, a leading distributor of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in Botswana, has an opportunity for a Head of IT & Corporate Services. The position is tenable at the Head Office in Gaborone.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ work experience in the following areas:

• Arch Retail Software (Point of Sale Software)
• Arch Enterprise Solution Software
• Sage ACCPAC ERR
• VMware vSphero
• Network administration
• Windows server management
• Linux email server administration
• Management of heavy duty lifting equipment
• Vehicle fleet management
• Management of insurance portfolios.

The successful candidate should be able to lead a team of professionals, and will be expected to:

• Ensure effective implementation and support of ARCH POS, Sage ACCPAC ERP, and ARCH Enterprise.
• Develop and implement policies/best practices for effective management of major company assets.
• Ensure that the group insurance portfolios and insurance claims are handled effectively and efficiently.
• Participate in the formulation, implementation, and review of the company’s business strategy
• Communicate the company’s strategy to team members and report on the performance of strategic initiatives.
• Manage the performance of the team and support human resource development initiatives
• Monitor service level agreements entered with various service providers of corporate services.
• Plan Corporates Services & IT projects and ensure that they arc done timely and within budgets.
• Draw annual budgets and review the department’s performance and adherence to the set financial budgets.
