REPORTS TO: General Manager – Information Systems
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
- To provide Business and Operations Support Systems (BSS/OSS) and Value Add Systems (VAS) inputs to the creation and maintenance of a BTC business strategy that will deliver shareholder value and take the decided Service and technology Strategy to build business
- To lead the design, guide and govern all BSS/OSS and VAS architectures to support the enterprise business in BTC like Corporate Strategy, Transformation, Digital Transformation
- To manage all BSS/OSS and VAS operations, providing reliable Support for the delivery of products and services to BTC Customers.
- To support the organisational digital transformation services provision by innovating solutions for internal and external commercial use.
- To own and manage the end-to-end BSS/OSS and VAS processes including interfacing to both mobile and fixed network
QUALIFICATION.
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Science or equivalent.
- Masters’ Degree will be an added an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- 9 years’ professional experience in the IT industry of which five (5) should have been within the telecommunications industry.
- 5 years’ experience of BSS/OSS/VAS management in a medium to large telecommunications industry.
- At least 4 years’ experience in a virtualization environment, modern data management and advanced reporting technologies.
LEGAL CERTIFICATION / PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP
- ITIL Certification or IT Service Management equivalent.
- Network SS7 signaling certification or equivalent.
- Membership of a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
