Handling International Freight – Transport Holdings

Job Description

We are looking for a suitable candidate with 3 to 5 years’experience in handling international Freight. (Ocean, Air, Cross Border and multimodal transport)

• Managing all Import and export related business activities for Acs Global Forwarding in Botswana as per customer expectations & company standards.
• Maintaining professional relationships with all carriers.
• Procure freight rates, space & services from the most suitable carriers & keeping in mind market/competition situation.
• Contributing to retention & growth of the business by maintaining close liaison with customers according to the situation.
• Maintain professional & effective business communication with network offices in connection with their inquiries aiming at converting every inquiry into business as well as finding resolutions.
• Respond effectively to RFQs / related inputs
• Implement the instructions received directly through HOD concerning airfreight / Ocean Freight
• All actions to be performed in accordance with company policy, applicable rules & regulations and local laws.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience at an established & compliant freight forwarding company.
• Preference will be given to the candidates who have their proven managerial experience at an established & compliant freight forwarding company.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a reputable institution.
• Strategic thinker with analytical skills, high achievement drive and ability of taking initiative
• Must have good management, interpersonal and communication skills & high level of tolerance.
• Strong command over Microsoft Office and other related software.
• Learning mindset.
