GENERAL PRACTITIONER/ MEDICAL OFFICER (TENABLE IN FRANCISTOWN)
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide appropriate curative and preventive health services to patients.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Examine, inspects and carries out diagnosis in patients and administers appropriate medication.
- Promote health education to patients regarding medical conditions and their treatment and gives guide on preventative care initiatives.
- Decides on the right course of action for patients with regards to hospital referral for specialised treatment.
- Keep up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and medications, including complementary medicine.
- Keep patients historic medical records confidentially
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Medicine/MBCh/MBBs
- 2 years relevant experience in a hospital setting (Medical and Surgical)
- Registered with Botswana Health Professional Council
