Financial Stability Analyst (x2 Positions) – Bank of Botswana

Job Description

• Main purpose of the job

To conduct mocroprudentiol surveillance and research that will support formulation and development of policy tools for monitoring risks and vulnerabilities to financial stability and the prevention, mitigation and resolution of financial crises.

• Duties of the job
• Collects and analyses statistical data on financial sector indicators, for example, capital adequacy, asset quality, liquidity and non-performing loans;
• Regularly updates the financial stability database and ensures that the data is accurate;
• Develops and maintains stress test models for the financial system.
• Develops policy tools and measures for monitoring risks and vulnerabilities co financial stability and for the prevention, mitigation and resolution of financial crises;
• Monitors and evaluates the impact of domestic and external economic and financial developments;
• Drafts contributions to the Financial Stability Report and other relevant Bank documents;
• Undertakes financial stability surveys, and
• Undertakes research work with focus on financial stability.
• Job Requirements

Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics. Finance. Statistics. Data Science or related quantitative field OR a Bachelors degree in Economics. Econometrics, Finance. Statistics. Data Science or related quantitative field plus two (2) years post qualification experience,

REMUNERATION
