DESCRIPTION
Orange Money Botswana invites candidates who wish to be part of a dynamic workforce to apply for the following position:
Finance Director
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will oversee all financial activities, manage the team, report on revenue, budgeting, oversee disbursement of funds, risk management and the development of, reviewing and implementation of process & policies.
The main duties include but are not limited to:
⦁ Develop and build financial planning and steering tools (budget, cash flow plan, funding plan, KPI’s, reporting etc.) in line with general management’s strategic direction.
⦁ Monitoring of budget execution.
⦁ Manage and ensure the security, robustness and reliability of financial information.
⦁ Develop and maintain all Orange Money administrative and financial management processes.
⦁ Enforce the application of Group administrative and accounting standards and procedures.
⦁ Define and implement the Orange Money investment policy in line with regulatory requirements.
⦁ Ensure sound financial management of the company, i.e. cash management, financing strategy, investment strategy, particularly for guarantee account funds, etc.
⦁ Reporting- Organise and coordinate the production of financial information.
⦁ Ownership of the production of financial statements for shareholders, legal bodies, supervisory authorities and the Group.
⦁ Ownership of audit.
⦁ Validate the amounts due by/to Orange Money service partners and organise disbursements.
⦁ Oversee electronic money management operations.
⦁ Build and maintain an on-going dialogue with stakeholders especially banking and financial partners.
⦁ Coordinate legal advice on specific cases (disputes/contracts).
Skills:
⦁ Mastery of the various accounting and financial techniques (financing, investments, processes, performance measurement, etc.)
⦁ Knowledge of the tax and accounting rules applicable to Electronic Payment Services activities.
⦁ Knowledge of Orange Money activities / products / services.
⦁ Project and people management techniques.
⦁ Ability to plan, organise and supervise through various levels of management in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.
⦁ Attention to fine detail, analytical thinking, proficiency in oral & written communication.
⦁ Business orientation/acumen.
⦁ Superior numerical accuracy.
Qualifications and experience:
⦁ ACCA, CIMA, Master’s Degree in Business Administration/Finance, or equivalent professional qualification acquired in finance, accounting, management, management control or financial audit.
⦁ Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in audit, finance, accounting.
Experience in senior management within a Finance/Accounting within the financial services sector or telecom industry.
