Engineering Operatives (Pumpmen) – Premium Nickel Resources Botswana

Operate and continually monitor mine dewatering pumping systems, monitor PH levels in mine dewatering pump water discharge, and assist fitters with pump maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates mine dewatering pumps to keep water level in the mine under control.
• Monitors the PH level of the dewatering pump discharge water on a continuous basis.
• Transports portable pumps, pipes, and related pumping accessories to required areas
• Maintains good housekeeping standards
• Adheres to all SHE safety rules and standards
• Ensures that appropriate PPE is always worn

Qualifications:

• BGCSE
• Working knowledge of water pump operation and maintenance
• 2 Years’ experience underground pumping experience
• Good team player
• Good communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate PNR values and core competencies
