ENGINEERING/MAINTENANCE MANAGER
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
we are looking for a reliable Engineering Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s machinery and equipment.
An incumbent will have an exceptional understanding of mechanical and electrical systems of electrical wiring harness machinery and equipment. They will be well versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.
The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
• carryout inspections of the machinery and equipment to identify and resolve issues
• Check electrical and hydraulic systems of machinery and equipmentto ensure functionality and uptime
• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
• Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
• Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
• Exceptional understanding of technical aspects of wire cutting and crimping machinery and equipment, specifically Schneuliger and Komax machinery
• Ability to keep track of and report on all maintenance activity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Degree/ Diploma from a vocational school
• Proven experience as an Engineering Maintenance Manager in an automotive electrical wiring harness manufacturing environment (15 to 20 years)
• Proven experience in planning maintenance operations
