The company, a subsidiary of a Chinese company based in Palapye specializes in the manufacturing of steel pipes for the transmission of oil, gas, steam and water from 406mm to 2540mm in diameter. The company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Botswana citizens for the following position:
1. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (1)
⦁ Assisting with the preparation, interpretation, and reviewing of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, surveys, structures, systems, and equipment.
⦁ Equipment design and development of LV and HV systems
⦁ Reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data by other engineers or by suppliers meeting specifications.
⦁ Address production losses caused by inefficient engineering systems by critically analyzing and maximizing the performance of the system.
⦁ Provide expertise on day-to-day electrical engineering-related issues, support, and advice on solutions.
⦁ Collaborate with optimization to keep up to date with the latest technologies, including identifying, and evaluating value and opportunities in terms of co-generation/ electrical efficiency improvements.
⦁ Ensure optimal performance of all electrical equipment
⦁ Maintain effective engagement with key maintenance and engineering service level providers
Experience and Qualification
⦁ A recognized Electrical Engineering degree and ERB registration certificate.
⦁ At least 3 years of working experience in an industrial environment.
⦁ Extensive experience in writing documentation at the different stages of a project.
