Driver / Messenger – Life Gaborone Private Hospital

Job Description

Introduction:
A vacancy exists for a Driver/Messenger based at Life Gaborone Private Hospital, reporting to the Hospital Human Resources Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the company vehicles to transport company personnel/visitors/goods and to provide messenger services.

Critical Outputs:
Inspection
􀁴􀀁Monitors vehicle mileage and ensures that it is serviced accordingly.
􀁴􀀁Ensures that the vehicle is always roadworthy.
􀁴􀀁Reports any defects.

Delivery
􀁴􀀁Delivers and deposits company cheques at banks.
􀁴􀀁Collects and delivers external mail to various destinations as required.

Operational Management
􀁴􀀁Drives/collects company visitors and staff to/from various destinations as required.
􀁴􀀁Operates in accordance with policies and rules,while performing routine safety checks on equipment and workspace.?
􀁴􀀁Completes vehicle logbook and ensures that all journeys undertaken are authorized by the Manager.
􀁴􀀁Ensures that vehicles are kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
􀁴􀀁Adherence to Safety, Health and Environment practices.
􀁴􀀁Avoid risk of road traffic accidents and adherence to National road traffic laws or international traffic laws when required to drive outside the country.

Requirements:
Qualifications
􀁴􀀁At least BGCSE and Light duty driver’s license
􀁴􀀁PRDP passengers licence will be an added advantage

Experience
􀁴􀀁(5) Five years driving experience.
􀁴􀀁Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.
􀁴􀀁A person who is result orientated,pays attention to detail, has excellent interpersonal as well as communication skills
