Afro Ventures (Pty) Ltd, trading as and Beyond requires a Director of Operations for an upmarket tourism company, with a proven ability to work as part of a team, and who has a passion for hospitality, people and the bush. The successful candidate will have at minimum a Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar and a minimum of 15 years’ experience in or with medium to large companies operating 5-star tourism destinations in remote areas.

Duties include the overall management and operations of multiple business units throughout Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique along with their respective managers. Experience in the areas of hospitality, event management, guest feedback, day-to-day planning and logistics, human resources, financial results and controls, capital expenditure, general maintenance, sustainability & habitat management, sales, project management, and the roll-out of regional initiatives is essential.

Outstanding communication, organizational, management and computer skills are also essential. Candidates must also have very strong people skills, business acumen, international exposure and a drivers license. The successful candidate will have to be very flexible, able to work long hours and to spend extended periods traveling between Maun, various remote lodges, national, and international destinations.
