Lucara Botswana (Pty) Ltd operates the Karowe Diamond Mine at Letlhakane in the Boteti Sub District.
The plant was commissioned in April 2012 and has achieved exceptional performance, producing some of the
world’s most special diamonds. The company has completed major upgrades, including the introduction of
X-Ray Transmission (XRT) technology for diamond recovery and innovative autogenous milling applications.
Lucara Botswana is embarking on projects aimed at enhancing large diamond recovery.

Digital & Social Media Intern

Job Summary

The Digital and Social Media Intern will support the Communications Office in implementing internal and
external communication initiatives, digital content creation, social media support, graphic design,
administrative coordination, and day-to-day departmental operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Multimedia Design, Communications, or a related field.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ experience in digital media and social media operations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience using content management systems including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing, videography (including mobile phone), and photography.
  • Experience creating short-form content (Reels, Shorts, etc.).
  • Knowledge of branding and corporate communications.
  • Office administration skills.
