VACANCY CIRCULAR NO: 41 OF 2022
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Government Employees employed in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development for the below mentioned post tenable in Gaborone City Council.
POST: CRAFTSMAN II (PAINTING)
SALARY: B4 (P52, 008.00 – P59, 328.00 per annum)
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) / JC plus Trade Test C in Painting and Decoration
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years satisfactory experience at B5 scale
LEAVE: 20 working days per annum
BENEFITS: Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Employer pays 80% and Employee pays 20%)
Contributory Pension Fund (Employer pays 15% and Employee pays 5%)
DUTIES:
- Undertakes painting works
- Thins the paint to produce a workable consistency
- Prepares and writes sign boards calculates material required for painting works and submits requisition to supervisor for authorization
- Painting and maintenance of road signs and guard rails
- Setting out road markings and painting them
- Supervises Craft Improvers
