The Botswana Defence Force is looking forward to employ suitably qualified Non-uniformed Personnel for the following positions:
– POSITION TENABLE AT 2 MILITARY GARRISON FRANCISTOWN
Qualifications: Trade Test C (Plumbing & Pipefitting) or equivalent qualification
Experience: At least two (2) years experience as Craft Improver Al salary scale or similar role.
Salary scale: B4 (P57, 348 – P65.424) per annum.
Leave: 20 working days per annum.

Job Purpose: Provides plumbing & pipe-fitting services in the BDF to ensure achievement of the maintenance unit goals.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Cut, prepare, fit pipes and joints.
- Install hoi and cold water supplies, sets, fixes and tests boilers, cylinders and geysers.
- Repair and maintain domestic plumbing applications including showers.
- Locate faults in plumbing system and decides on steps to be taken to rectify fault
- Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and property disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches
- Shovel materials to and from construction areas.
- Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
- Maintain a safe and dean job site by handling materials and storing them property, picking up and removing al tools and equipment when not in use,
and securing the job site on a daily basis.
- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment
- Implement Individual Performance Ran to ensure achievement of 94CMR goals.
