Job Description

The Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM) seeks the services of a talented, self-driven, experienced and highly motivated citizen of Botswana to fill the following vacant position:

VACANCY: Coordinator-HR
Programs (2 posts)
SALARY SCALE: E1 (P487.752.OO
P5O7.48O.OO) per annum.
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The appointment is on contract ol thirty-six (36) Months

 

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS PROFILE:
To bo considered for appointment to this position, candidates must have a;
Bachelor’s Degreein Human Resource Management? Development or Industrial Psychology or Organisation Development or Employee Relations or Compensation and Benefits or Social Sciences or Business Administration or related qualification from a recognized institution.
Master’s Degree in any of the above will be an added advantage.
Certification in Project Management will be an added advantage
Membership of recognized Chartered HR professional Institute such as IHRM, ISHRM, CIPD, will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

Candidate must have atleast fourteen (14) years’ experience in the Public Service. Parastatal organisation or Private Sector, two (2) years of which should have been at D1 level in Government or equivalent level in the private sector/parastatal organisations or parastatal organisation.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To coordinate the design, delivery and measurement of transformational Human Resource programs and projects within the Public Service to ensure successful achievement of organisational goals.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(1)Lead provision ol expert advice to inform review & execution ol employee transformational program and projects;
(2)Lead development of a project management strategy lor Leadership Transformation program and projects to enable achievement of identified objectives;
(3)Liaise with Business leaderstolacilitate execution of employee assistance initiative portfolio;
(4)Lead development of comprehensive guidelines, eligibility criteria and procedures lor the employee carly-cxit program;
(5)Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure provision ol psychological support to employee;
(6)Provide leadership guidance to selected MDAs on effective handling of employee conflict, disciplinary counselling and other employee related matters;
(7)Oversee proactive identification and monitoring ol employee relations risks related to separation program and related projects;
(8)Oversee execution ol change management initiatives lor the transformation program.

BENEFITS:

i.Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% and the Employee pays 50%)
ii.Contributory Pension Fund Scheme (Government pays 15% and the Employee pays 5%)
iii.Housing Allowance at the rate of 2% of basic salary.
