Description

To plan, supervise and lead the process of systematically and efficiently managing contract creation, execution and analysis for purposes of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk. The candidate handles a wide variety of procurement, administrative duties and contracts administration as well as coordinating all interfaces within projects, suppliers and the company; Candidate optimizes process integrity, provide commercial experience and insights and protects the company against risk exposure.

Procurement Planning and Supplier Management

  • Execute planning activities for Department and related units with dependencies on other processes/units/suppliers.
  • Monitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of suppliers, as per contracts/SLAs to recommend and ensure delivery of improvements by suppliers or to renegotiate or change contract/supplier

Contract Management and Requirements

Negotiating contracts: Securing the best pricing, terms and delivery options for each product or service as well as settle the contracts

Client and Customer Management (Internal/External)

  • Manages clients and customer relationships by utilizing relevant Business Intelligence Systems (ERP) and communication

Risk Management

  • Identifies, assesses, prioritizes and manages risks in a procurement process and provides technical guidance when required.

Inventory Planning

  • Performs Inventory planning, along with management oversight of inspections, of stock levels as assigned
  • Provides technical guidance when required on ensuring that equipment and materials are moved and stored in the best way possible.

Tender Administration

  • Handles and resolves Tender queries. Assist in debriefings, resolving disputes, claims, litigation and settlements.
  • Guide and leads the Tender Evaluation Process & Reporting

Stock Security

  • Maintain best practise for stock security and fully aware of the stock security deterrents and measures that can be introduced to reduce stock shrinkage

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensures that the department complies with all the Botswana and International regulations as stipulated in the CAAB CARS and technical standards as stipulated in CAAB CATS
  • Ensures that operation of aircrafts is in compliance with IOSA requirements

Performance Management

  • Accountable for own performance planning and achievement of business plans
  • Takes corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of business objectives
Requirements

Minimum Education Required

  • A recognized Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, CIPS or equivalent.
  • Certificate in Law or Contract Management as well as Post Graduate qualification in related field will be an added advantage

Minimum Experience Required

  • At least six (6) years’ post qualification experience of which three (3) should have been in Supply Chain, Procurement and Materials Management or similar environment.
