Construction Supervisor – Khoemacau Copper Mining

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

 The Construction Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects related to roads, earthworks, and civil engineering. This role involves ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and construction management, with a particular focus on roads and earthworks.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Driving safety, health, environment, and community standards with visible risk oversight.
• Coordinating all construction activities to meet design, schedule, and budget.
• Communicating progress and resolving concerns with clients and project teams.
• Ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and company-specific standards.
• Managing on-site personnel and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
• Providing strong leadership, technical literacy, communication, and pressure-handling.
• Expertise in mining construction, safety standards, and earthworks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

• Trade or technical qualification/ relevant Diploma.
• 5+ years’ experience as a supervisor in the construction industry is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and legal regulations.
• Chinese and English language ability to work under multi-culture environment
