Bothakga Burrow is a 100% citizen owned multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy firm which is headquartered in Gaborone. We provide consultancy services covering a broad spectrum of Engineering works to improve the quality and standard of living in the urban and rural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing and managing construction activities from mobilization to handover.
- Providing overall leadership and direction to site teams.
- Develop and implement construction strategies, sequencing, and methodologies.
- Monitoring daily site operations, resource utilization and productivity.
- Coordinating construction works in line with the approved programme.
- Implement QA/QC procedures and inspection plans.
- Controlling construction costs within approved budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Registered with ERB as a Professional Engineer.
- At least 15 years’ experience in construction projects of which 5 years in senior site or construction management role.
- Proven record of managing major contract forms (i.e FIDIC, NEC, JBCC).
- Registration with Project Management Professional and PRINCE 2 will be an added advantage.
- Construction planning & scheduling (Primavera P6, MS Projects).
- Cost estimation & budget control, Contract administration.
- Quality assurance & quality control (QA/QC), Risk management.
- Procurement & materials management, Contractual correspondence drafting skills.
- Knowledge of Claims methodologies (Cause & Effect, Delay & Disruption analysis).
