COMPLIANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
Number of Position(s) to be filled – (one)l
Job Summary
Reporting to the Managing Director
1. Risk Management & Control – Incumbent shall be responsible for the development of the risk management system and control which includes the crafting of the risk assessment methodology & risk management policies to ensure compliance with the Financial Intelligence Act and other industry related Laws.
2. Reporting & Regulatory Liason – Incumbent shall be responsible for the filing of statutory returns in line with the Financial Intelligency Act and other regulatory instruments to regulatory authorities , particularly the NBFIRA and the Financial Intelligency Agency.
3. Financial Accounting & Reporting – Incumbent shall have oversight over the accounting function to ensure the timely production and presentation of monthly management account. Incumbent shall also ensure that the budgeting and budgetary control are robustly functioning to ensure optimal production within the Company geared towards achievement of organisational goals.
4. Assurance – Incumbent shall take leadership role in the production of annual audited financial statements and annal statutory reporting to the NBFIRA. Incumbent shall also work closely with the BURS to ensure compliance in the area of taxation for the corporate. Incumbent should have a good grasp of the insurance industry regulatory requirements to ensure continued compliance of the entity.
5. Administration – Incumbent shall take full ownership of administrative control both on the revenue generation and cost control. Incumbent shall need demonstrate continuously a tight reign on both maximising revenue whilst aggressively limiting costs whilst achieving the best possible cash flows for the entity. Administrative control shall also include control of both fixed assets as well as the human capita I (Staff) within the corporate.
Requirements
⦁ Minimum 10 years’ experience in the accounting environment, at least five (5) of which must be at a senior position as a Financial Controller in the insurance sector.
⦁ Professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA. Cl MA or BICA with relevant post qualification experience.
⦁ Studying towards the attainment of a post graduate degree(MBA) or its attainment is an added advantage.
⦁ Membership of BICA a pre-requisite.
⦁ Traceable experience in the Financial Services sector will be an added advantage with a preference of experience gained in the insurance industry.
