Job Description

Job Summary:  

Adheres to all quality assurance and governance protocols/principles in area of Corporate Communications.

 

Key Activities:

  • Recommends and incorporate cost saving initiatives into budget and operates within approved parameters.
  • Conducts event coverage for company functions by interviewing and providing photographic service.
  • identifies news sources and provides necessary coverage to populate mine publications.
  • Assists in the development of communication tools platforms and the mine website.
  • Coordinates and manages mine tours by providing visitors with good public relations and making all necessary logistics.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance to company brand standards.
  • Creates and maintains positive company image through living and promoting company values.
  • Procures and distributes corporate gifts in accordance with company policy.
  • Advises employees and supports strategic projects on the correct use of the brand.
  • Plans and executes corporate events.
  • Adheres to all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures in area of responsibility.
  • Identifies and implements creative and innovative ideas in order to improve Mini Business Unit performance.
  • Maintains effective relationships with clients/partners/customers in to ensure achievement of Mini Business Unit objectives.
  • Takes responsibility for providing excellent service by developing self, applying skills, knowledge and experiences to improve and measure their own performance against clear standards.

 

Technical Competencies: 

  • Ability to produce internal newsletters.
  • Writing skills.
  • Be able to draft press release statement.
  • Sound networking skills.
  • Proficiency in office management software and design software.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms.

 

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, such as media, communications, or journalism.
  • 5 years experience in public relations and communications.
  • Knowledge of SHE Management System ISO 45001: 2018 and ISO 14001: 2015.
