The National Arts Council of Botswana is a body corporate established under the provisions of the National Arts Council of Botswana Act, No. 10 of 2020. The Council’s mandate is to develop, promote and protect the creative and cultural sector of Botswana through policy, legislation, industry facilitation and various partnerships, programmes, grants and initiatives. The Council aims to transform the local creative and cultural sector by nurturing creative excellence and preserving the Nation’s rich cultural traditions with the ultimate goal of building an inclusive, sustainable and prosperous sector.

COMMERCIALISATION AND PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Director, Creative and Cultural Sector Development, the Commercialisation and Partnerships Manager is responsible for:
- Planning, organising and managing the Council’s commercialisation and partnerships, grants and funds administration as well as product development in support of the creative and cultural sector and in accordance with the Council’s mandate and strategic plans.
Key Performance Areas
- Development and implementation of commercialisation and partnerships strategy, policies, procedures and plans;
- Increased funding and financial investment towards the Council for purposes of supporting the local arts and culture;
- Established and implemented opportunities to facilitate commercialisation of the sector;
- Transparent and fair grants and funds administration;
- Impactful returns as a result of disbursed grants and funds administration;
- Achievement of strategic goals and targets within set timelines and budgets;
- Stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Commerce, Humanities or related field.
- A minimum of ten (10) years post qualification experience in business development including developing commercial strategies and partnerships at a senior level.
- Experience in grant administration would be an added advantage.
