Location: Gaborone, Botswana

Contract Type: 3 Years Fixed Term Contract.

Clean Technology Advisor

Reporting Line: Innovation and Technology Coordinator

This role focuses on developing and advising on clean innovations and technologies while supporting the commercialization of clean technology initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support project identification and management initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to BDIH registered clients.
  • Conduct field surveys for clean technology projects.
  • Develop an integrated database for clean technology companies and projects.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across government, academia and private sector.
  • Organise stakeholder meetings and provide secretarial support.
  • Evaluate potential clean technology initiatives for innovation funding.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mining, Engineering (Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical or Energy) or related fields.
  • Registration with Botswana Engineers Registration Board or equivalent.
  • Additional certification in Project Management is an advantage.

Experience

  • At least 5 years experience in clean technologies or renewable energy.
  • Understanding of environmental policies and regulations.
  • Knowledge of clean technologies and their applications.
  • Experience in project management.
