St. Anthony’s Primary School of Palapye
Job Title: Class Teachers for January 2023

Job Summary
To deliver lessons effectively and efficiently to pupils according to the prescribed
syllabus and defined standards.

Job Description

  • Develops, plans and implements curriculum, lesson plans and educational programs for student audiences within areas of expertise.
  • The employee shall be responsible for the proper teaching of the class assigned in accordance with the curriculum laid down by the Ministry of Education of Botswana and adopted by ST Anthony’s Primary School.
  • The employee shall be responsible for the maintenance of discipline and an atmosphere conducive to learning in and outside the classroom. Supportive to the needs of all children.
  • The employee shall be required to keep records and produce reports for all pupils in his/her charge on a regular basis.

Experience

At least 2 years of related experience. The individual must have taught upper classes in a private school.

Knowledge and skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Setswana languages
  • Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to coach netball, football or tennis
  • Dependable, punctual and able to work flexible working hours
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Word and Excel

Educational Qualifications

A minimum of Diploma in Primary Education, Secondary Education and or Post

Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution.
