About the Role

BOFINET is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its Information Technology division and drive digital transformation across the organisation.

The CIO will provide strategic leadership in planning, developing, and managing IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals while enhancing operational efficiency, cybersecurity, and innovation.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (required)
  • Master’s Degree (preferred)
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent (required/advantageous)

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years’ relevant experience in a similar sector
  • At least 5 years in senior management roles
  • Proven experience leading IT divisions and large-scale digital transformation initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, execution and monitoring and evaluation of the company’s IT strategy to support business objectives
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and enterprise systems
  • Drive digital transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring robust IT governance and cybersecurity across BOFINET
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the division
  • People Management. Instil a performance-driven culture with clear accountability and empowerment at all levels
  • Manage Information & Data Security
  • ESG, Corporate Governance & Risk Oversight
