Job Description

Acer Petroleum Botswana Pty Ltd, a leading company in the oil industry in Botswana and having its presence in other countries in Africa is looking for a well experienced CEO. The successful candidate must have a suitable business degree or equivalent qualifications with 20+ years of international experience in the oil and gas industry in Africa, having served as an Executive Director in the industry. The candidate must have a good caliber to take executive and strategic decisions and be responsible across its operations in terms of good governance, country compliance and all stakeholders’ and shareholders’ interests. A proven experience in transforming businesses will be expected. Familiarity with regional regulatory compliance and exposure to working in global geographies in the oil industry is required.
Expert understanding of corporate finance and business management.
Excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities;
• The candidate will be responsible for assessing, developing, executing top business strategies that will propel the company’s plan for rapid growth and expansion.
• Working with all teams to monitor the P&L, budgets, procedures, and projects.
• Strict adherence to Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality aspects.
• Formulate strategies for new business.
• Have extensive experience and technical know how related to building service stations, storage depots and LP Gas plants across Africa.
• Highly successful in building relationships with upper-level decision makers in the global arena, seizing control of problem areas, and delivering on customer promises.
• Ensuring financially sound & accurate pricing policies by evaluating existing practices & methodologies and reviewing pricing submissions.
• Knowledge of critical business drivers in markets and industry.
• Establish and foster partnerships and relationships with key customers both externally and internally and government offices.
• Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and increase market share.
