PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Business Transformation Manager is a high-level executive responsible for driving the growth, transformation, and operational efficiency of the company. The BTM is tasked with overseeing the operations of the business and ensuring that clients get the best experience. The GM is responsible for management of workforce, ensuring budgets are met and overall business targets are achieved to achieve the set profit targets. He is responsible for the development of the overall transformation strategy, driving growth in Botswana and African markets. BTM must have a firm understanding and knowledge of tech startup environment.

Leverage Point’s BTM role is designed to work across departments, with a focus on sales, marketing, and product.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive growth and expansion for the company.
  • Identifying new opportunities for growth, such as entering new markets or launching new products or services.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to execute growth initiatives.
  • Collaborating with other executives and departments to ensure that growth strategies are aligned with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Analysing market trends and customer insights to inform growth strategy.
  • Developing and managing budgets and resources related to growth initiatives.
  • Tracking and measuring the effectiveness of growth strategies and adjusting as needed.
  • Communicating growth plans and progress to the Managing Director and Executive Management
  • Mentoring and developing team members to ensure that the organization has the talent and capabilities needed to support future growth.
  • Ensuring that the business meets its targets and remains profitable.
  • Set policies and processes and ensure adherence.
  • Drive operational efficiency.
  • Prepare regular reports to management.
  • Control business budgets and expenses
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS/MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Extensive experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field, with a track record of driving growth and revenue.
  • Knowledge and understanding of tech industry.
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of business processes including Human resource, operations, finance etc)
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
  • Excellent strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement growth strategies based on market trends and customer insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate growth plans and progress to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial skills to drive business growth.
