RED EAST CONSTRUCTION is looking for the following assistant project manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in leading the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects. You will assist with managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and stakeholder engagement. As a key member of the project team, you will leverage your organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities to ensure projects stay on track and meet the client’s expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Support the development of comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies
– Coordinate and participate in project kickoff meetings, status meetings, and other team discussions
– Monitor project progress and metrics, and provide regular updates to the Project Manager
– Assist with the identification, analysis, and mitigation of potential risks, issues, and roadblocks
– Contribute to the implementation of effective change control processes to manage scope and project changes
– Prepare and help present detailed project reports, dashboards, and presentations
– Ensure project documentation, records, and files are maintained in an organized manner
– Provide administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, managing action items, and coordinating travel arrangements
– Liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather information and address questions or concerns
– Offer support and guidance to junior project team members as needed
– Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve project management processes and practices
Required Skills and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, engineering, or a related field
– 2-4 years of experience in a project support or assistant project management role
– Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
– Proficient in using project management software, tools, and applications
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information
– Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
– Collaborative mindset and desire to work as part of a cross-functional team
– Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative project management methodologies is preferred
– PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus
