Assistant Accountant – Opti Feeds Botswana

Job Description

Opti Feeds Botswana is one of Botswana’s prime animal feeds manufacturers and produces such brands as opti layer mash and various opti broiler and breeder chicken feeds.

Opti Feeds Botswana invites suitably qualified, experienced, results oriented citizens of Botswana as an Assistant Accountant.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Sales/ customer invoicing
• Maintenance of fixed assets register
• Debtors accounts, maintenance and follow up
• Bank reconciliations
• Maintenance of cash book
• Maintenance of petty cash
• VAT Computations and submit VAT returns
• Payroll administration
• Management accounts
• PAYE and other withholdings computations and submisions
• Costing and price review
• Overseeing stock controllers
• Supervision of accounts clerk and other employees
• External audit overseeing

Position requirements
• AAT Level 4 or Degree in Accounting/ Finance or related discipline coupled with five (5) years’ experience in an accounting environment
• Knowledge of Pastel, Sage evolution
• Preference will be given to those that have worked in a manufacturing environment.
