Organization: Botswana Teachers Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (BTSACCOS)
Botswana Teachers Savings and Credit Cooperative Society invites suitably qualified individuals to apply for the following positions, tenable in Gaborone.
  – Accounts Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, filing documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Member Savings Ledgers: Update and reconcile members’ savings ledgers.
- Petty Cash Management: Handle petty cash requests and reconcile petty cash accounts regularly.
- Promote Co-operative Philosophy with members.
- Tax Returns: Assist in preparing PAYE returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- General Administrative Duties: Perform finance-related administrative tasks including answering finance queries, managing correspondence, and supporting the wider finance team.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting, Business Studies or Association of Accounting Technician Level 4 (AAT).
- Training in Savings and Credit Co-operative Management will be an added advantage.
- At least three (3) years post-qualification experience in an equivalent position.

- Computer literacy.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Time management.
