ACCOUNTANT

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The position exists to provide cost effective accounting, treasury management an financial reporting services to MDB Group of companies in line with the generally accepted accounting practices (GAP) and other statutory requirements.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Assist in the implementation of cost effective and value driven systems, policies, regulations, standards, procedures, guidelines and instruments that are relevan to the company.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets covering all departments.
• Ensures appropriate costing and inputting of financial data into the accounting system.
• Prepares periodic management accounts
• Ensures appropriate cash flow planning and management.
• Ensures that the business complies with all licensing and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintains daily oversight on the company’s liquidity position and advices thefinance manager on cash and debtor’s position.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

QUALIFICATIONS

• ACCA or CIMA partly qualified
• 3 vears of experience

COMPETENCIES

Financial accounting, management accounting, Treasury Management,

Financial reporting.
