About Company

Tataki Mining Company is a dynamic, next-generation polymetallic mining operation located in Botswana, specifically at the Phoenix Mine site near Matsiloje, Francistown. Acquired by the GCR Group (Global Critical Resource Corp) through its subsidiary NIU Mining, Tataki Mining has recently revitalized the historic Tati Nickel Mine assets after they sat in liquidation and under care and maintenance for years. The company focuses on the extraction of essential resources like copper, nickel, cobalt, and platinum-group metals (PGMs), operating over a massive inventory of more than 120 million tonnes of rich ore and surface stockpiles.

Committed to both innovation and environmental responsibility, Tataki is transforming its Botswana site into one of Africa’s most advanced and sustainable mining operations. The site leverages cutting-edge, low-impact extraction technologies, modular plant designs, and biodegradable reagents. Powered entirely by renewable energy and utilizing a growing fleet of electric mining vehicles, Tataki Mining aims to be a major, sustainable supplier of the critical minerals required for the global energy transition while providing significant economic revitalization and job creation for the local community.
