Exploration Investment Company Botswana (EICB) is a state-owned enterprise established by the Government of Botswana under the Ministry of Minerals and Energy to drive systematic mineral exploration, resource mobilisation, and citizen participation in the mining sector. Operating as an independent entity under the Companies Act, EICB partners with the private sector to de-risk early-stage exploration, unlock the country’s mineral potential, and focus on strategic critical minerals such as copper and manganese, particularly across the Kalahari Copper Belt.
