The National Arts Council of Botswana is a body corporate established under the provisions of the National Arts Council of Botswana Act, No. 10 of 2020. The Council’s mandate is to develop, promote and protect the creative and cultural sector of Botswana through policy, legislation, industry facilitation and various partnerships, programmes, grants and initiatives. The Council aims to transform the local creative and cultural sector by nurturing creative excellence and preserving the Nation’s rich cultural traditions with the ultimate goal of building an inclusive, sustainable and prosperous sector.

PROCUREMENT MANAGER
Role Purpose
Accountable to the Director, Corporate Services, the Procurement Manager is responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating and managing the Council’s procurement function including establishing processes and policies for sourcing, acquisition, receipt and payment of goods, services or works throughout the Council offices.
Key Performance Areas
- Clear up-to-date procurement policies, procedures and processes;
- Effective procurement internal controls;
- Efficient procurement of goods and services; Value for money and adherence to budget limitations;
- Availability of supplies;
- Up-to-date supplier database;
- Strict compliance to PPRA regulations; Achievement of strategic goals and targets within set timelines and budgets.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- An additional qualification in procurement or supply chain management.
- A minimum of ten (TO) years post qualification experience in a supply chain function with at least five (5) years’ experience in a procurement supervisory and/or management role. Experience establishing procurement policies, procedures, processes and internal controls is essential.
