The National Arts Council of Botswana is a body corporate established under the provisions of the National Arts Council of Botswana Act, No. 10 of 2020. The Council’s mandate is to develop, promote and protect the creative and cultural sector of Botswana through policy, legislation, industry facilitation and various partnerships, programmes, grants and initiatives. The Council aims to transform the local creative and cultural sector by nurturing creative excellence and preserving the Nation’s rich cultural traditions with the ultimate goal of building an inclusive, sustainable and prosperous sector.

FINANCE MANAGER
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the Finance Manager is responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating, and managing all accounting services to the Council including financial planning, budgeting, payables and receivables processing, fixed asset management and financial reporting.
Key Performance Areas
- Well-coordinated financial planning and budgeting processes;
- Timely and accurate financial and management accounting processes and reporting; Accounting records in line with internationally recognised standards;
- Compliance with accounting standards; Minimal internal and external audit queries; Transparent, efficient and effective procurement of goods and services; Achievement of strategic goals and targets within set timelines and budgets.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification from an internationally recognised institute of accounting (ACCA/CIMA/BICA).
- A minimum of ten (10) years post qualification experience in accounting or finance with at least five (5) years’ experience at management and/or supervisory level. Proven experience in developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls.
