PURCHASING & SUPPLIES ASSISTANT
JB is looking for a Procurement and Supplies Assistant to join our team based at the Head Office. The suitable candidate will provide administrative support for the company’s procurement department through inventory monitoring, ordering supplies and scheduling deliveries in order to ensure that the company has necessary materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the identification of suitable suppliers and maintain existing supplier relations.
- Maintain accurate records and provide the accounts department with proper documentation i.e., invoices.
- Process purchase orders in time, follow up on pending orders, organize and prepare request for quotations.
- Expedite orders and track deliveries to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Interacting with suppliers and couriers for consignment collections from suppliers to ensure high quality and competitive cost.
- Store maintenance and inventory management.
- Ensure the safety of procurement of goods.

- Commercial awareness.
- Numeric and IT skills (report writing and presentation).
- Trustworthy and have a sense of urgency.
- Strong interpersonal skills-the ability to communicate and negotiate
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to cope with pressure.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors’ Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management or other related
- At least 3 years’ experience in Procurement and Supplies
- Driver’s license will be an added advantage
