INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR

To analyse and formulate IT infrastructure system requirements, and develop system plans to support operational projects across all operations

Coordinate the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring and maintenance of end-user computer equipment problems or direct support for hardware and software problems in support of operational systems

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for;

  • Developing IT network and systems usage policies and procedures
  • Liaising with management in determining and prioritising business needs
  • Liaising with users to understand and document detailed system requirements
  • Designing efficient and cost-effective systems
  • Planning implementation strategy for new systems and ensuring the system is user friendly
  • Overseing implementing, supporting inventory control systems
  • Ensuring efficient use of systems and equipment and making sure they are taken care of
  • Ensuring customer problems are resolved, through proper use of administrative procedures
  • Monitoring user activity of company IT infrastructure (network, firewall, storage, end user devices and servers) and ensuring it is used accordingly
  • Ensuring company networks and systems have adequate storage to meet operational needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILL, AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or any related qualification
  • N+

  • MSCE
  • ITILV3
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in IT support roll
  • Well-founded Windows operating systems (server and desktop) knowledge
  • Hands on experience of installii decommissioning of IT hardware and s
  • Work experience with Windows 2008 365 components (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Teams)
  • Work experience with Microsoft SQL server
  • Work experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL & CentOS)
  • Microsoft Active Directory experience (DNS, DHCP, Directory Services, NPS, Print services)
  • Work experience with VMware ESX, VEEAM backup, Terminal Server
  • Working experience of ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) principles
  • Must be in possession of a valid Class B Driver’s License.
