Job Description

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE OFFICER (6 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
To co-ordinate account payments and maintain a sound control environment around management of accounts payable and receivables

Key Responsibilities
¡ Monthly preparation of other balance sheet accounts allocated by the financial accounting manager, including the monthly reconciliation of the payment suspense account and sundry debtors.
¡ Make payments to suppliers with an existing purchase order input and in the system to ensure each invoice is not paid twice.
¡ Effect all the supplier payments in the system.
¡ Effect all staff claims on the system.
¡ Share cost analysis report on monthly basis, comparing to budget prior year, month on months and YTD views, including Group expense report.
¡ Ensure the correct accrual of costs.
¡ Ensure the timely clearing of the payment suspense accounts and reconciliation.
¡ Ensure the adequate computation of the prepaid expenses.
¡ Provision to supplier the supplier WHT certificates.
¡ Monthly supplier reconciliations.
¡ Sending monthly remittances to suppliers with every payment.
¡ Maintenance of the project costs to date against the budget.
¡ Preparation of the payroll reconciliations Bank and Kaleu.
¡ Monthly reconciliation of PPE and maintenance of asset register Bank and Kaleu.

Key requirements for this role
¡ Relevant Finance degree
¡ 2+ years’ accounting experience post articles
¡ Accounting, Financial reporting skills
¡ Sound knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite.
