Hotel 4:30 (Pty) Ltd is seeking to appoint an experienced, creative and highly professional Senior Executive Chef to lead and oversee our culinary operations. We are looking for an accomplished culinary professional with a minimum of 20 years’ proven experience in the hospitality and culinary industry, preferably with extensive experience in luxury hotels, fine dining, restaurants and large-scale food operations.

Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage the entire kitchen and culinary department.
– Develop innovative menus incorporating international and local cuisine.
– Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, taste and presentation.
– Manage food preparation and kitchen operations for restaurants, banquets, events and other hotel outlets.
– Recruit, train, mentor and supervise chefs and kitchen staff.
– Implement effective food-cost, stock-control and wastage-management systems.
– Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
– Manage kitchen budgets, purchasing and supplier relationships.
– Introduce new culinary concepts and continuously improve the hotel’s dining experience.
– Work closely with the General Manager and Food & Beverage Department.

Requirements:
– Degree in Bachelor of Commerce, Tourism and hospitality management
– Minimum 20 years’ proven experience in the culinary/hospitality industry.
– Extensive experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef or equivalent senior culinary position.
– Relevant culinary qualification from a recognised institution.
– Strong leadership, management and communication skills.
