Job Description

Reporting to the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all drilling activities are conducted in a safe, healthy, environmentally responsible, and legally compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities
– Sound knowledge of mining safety requirements, occupational health and safety legislation, environmental requirements, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
– Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, toolbox.
– Knowledge of emergency response procedures and environmental management practices.
– Compile and submit weekly and monthly SHE statistics and performance reports to Management.

Requirements
– BGSE/Form 5 Certificate
– Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management/Safety Health and Environmental Management.
– Familiar with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
– Minimum of 5 years Field Experience – Drilling and Exploration/Mining
– Must be willing to work long rotations and in tough environments
– Must be able to problem solve and apply skills in a creative manner
