Key Responsibilities
- Manage industrial relations through the tracking and monitoring of IR incidents and provide trend analysis to mitigate potential risks.
- Develop, review, update and monitor Human Capital policies while providing guidance and interpretation to management and staff.
- Advise the business on labour law judgements and their impact on organisational operations.
- Manage employees relations through the effective resolution of disputes, collective bargaining processes, and grievance management.
- Compile periodic reports on grievances, disciplinary matters, employee relations developments, industrial relations, and staff engagements.
- Foster positive relationships with unions through regular Union-Management engagements and effective follow-up on agreed actions.
- Lead, coach and supervise staff while ensuring achievement of departmental objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labour Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation, employee relations frameworks, and industrial relations practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict management skills.
- High levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
- More than 6 years’ employee relations experience within a unionised environment.
- 2 or more years’ supervisory or management experience.
- Admitted attorney of the High Court with corporate HR work experience.
