Key Responsibilities
- Work with colleagues on curriculum development and the advancement of the relevant discipline
- Deliver teaching over a range of modules within an established programme
- Undertake student tutoring and support
- Conduct individual research or work on collaborative projects (supervision of students’ projects [both undergraduate and postgraduate levels])
- Source external and internal research funding from national and international donors
- Community engagement
Requirements
PhD in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related fields such as (Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Power, Energy, Control) from a recognized institution. The candidate must be registered with Engineers Registration Board (ERB) Botswana. The candidate must be registered with Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) as an Assessor and Moderator or eligible to register within one (1) year of assumption of duty. At least six years post-doctoral experience in either teaching/lecturing/research or industry experience in the relevant field or discipline, at least four of which must be a Graduate Supervision including successful doctoral Students. Experience in teaching at tertiary level for at least 3 years. A sustained and recent record of peer-reviewed publications and other research output over at least a six-year period (min. of 16 peer-reviewed publications of ISI journals / scopus or web of science indexed journals). Experience of obtaining external research funding.
