The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Secretariat is the principal executive institution of SADC, responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and management of regional programmes. It works towards regional integration, economic growth, and poverty eradication across its 16 Member States in Southern Africa. Headquartered in Gaborone, Botswana, the Secretariat implements decisions made by SADC policy institutions such as the Summit, Troikas, and Council of Ministers, driving cooperative efforts in infrastructure, politics, trade, and sustainable development.
