REPORTS TO: Head of Network Operations
OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB
- Manage Field Network (transmission, RAN, Antenna Structure systems and Access nodes, and Power and Aircon systems) performance, utilization, and quality of services.
- Support the Head of Network Operations in developing a business plan by providing professional input and advice relating to the operational management and quality assurance of Field Network systems (transmission, RAN, Antenna Structure systems, Access nodes, and Power and Aircon systems).
- Provide operational management of the Field Network, coordinate the work of external and internal suppliers, and ensure that targets for service quality and reliability are met.
- Manage sectional infrastructure assets, human resources, and operational budget.
- To own and manage the end-to-end Field Network operations processes for backhauling all voice and data services.
- Manage all outsourced Field Network activities
QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
• 7+ years of telecommunication network operations supervision experience.
• Experience managing outsourced ASPs.
• Strong governance and reporting background.
LEGAL CERTIFICATION / PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP
• ERB Membership
• Membership of any other recognized professional association will be an added advantage
