Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Identify and recruit suitable Agency Banking agents within assigned territories.
2. Conduct due diligence and agent suitability assessments in accordance with Bank policy.
3. Support agent onboarding and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.
4. Train newly appointed agents on Agency Banking products, systems, procedures and compliance requirements.
5. Ensure timely activation of newly appointed agents.
6. Promote Agency Banking products and services to prospective agents and customers.
7. Drive customer acquisition through the Agency Banking network.
8. Increase transaction volumes, deposits and revenue generated through Agency Banking.
9. Conduct regular field visits to monitor agent performance and service standards.
10. Ensure agents maintain adequate liquidity and operational readiness.
11. Resolve operational issues affecting agents and escalate where necessary.
12. Build and maintain strong relationships with agents to improve retention and productivity.
13. Monitor agent performance against agreed sales and transaction targets.
14. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly Agency Banking performance reports.
15. Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities aimed at growing the Agency Banking network.
16. Ensure compliance with AML/CFT, KYC and all regulatory requirements.
17. Monitor fraud risks and immediately report suspicious activities.
18. Remain abreast of developments in Agency Banking, digital payments and financial services.
19. Meet weekly, monthly and annual recruitment, activation and revenue targets.
20. Undertake any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Agency Banking.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, Banking or related field will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year experience in sales, banking, financial services or customer service – Experience in Agency Banking, Digital Banking or Mobile Financial Services will be an added advantage.
